Prismatics range captures David Hockney’s LA era for Homes & Gardens magazine

David Hockney is considered to be one of the most influential British artists of the 20th century. A key contributor to the pop art movement of the 1960s, his work hasn't just inspired other artists; it has influenced everything, particularly interior design.

So when Homes & Gardens magazine contacted us about a David Hockney-inspired interiors shoot to coincide with the Tate’s retrospective, we were more than happy to oblige, and had just the range in mind to help create his iconic 1960’s style.

Stylist Laura Fulmine chose Prismatics tiles in Peppermint and Mintwater to help achieve a pastel palette inspired by the work of the world-renowned artist.

The resulting bathroom set translates Hockney’s signature palette into “playful and uplifting interiors”.

The shoot appears in the March 2017 issue of Homes & Gardens magazine. For more information, visit www.idealhome.co.uk. And discover our Prismatics range here.

You can see the real work of David Hockney at Tate Britain from 9 February until 29 May 2017. The iconic gallery will be bringing together six decades of the artist's work for the first time.

Highlights will include a double portrait of renowned novelist Christopher Isherwood and artist Don Bachardy, painted in 1968.

It's a once-in-a-generation chance to enjoy an unprecedented overview of Hockney's work in paint, drawing, photography and video. Discover more at www.tate.org.uk.
