This season's trends are rooted in optimism. We're looking forward to a brighter future, whilst learning from our experiences throughout the pandemic. Increased focus has been placed on sustainability and it's more important than ever to connect to nature. Biophilic design and sustainable material choices are paving the way for future design schemes that put people's and the earth's wellbeing first.

Melrose MELR1A Bone, MELR5A Slate

Serenity

Building on the need for tranquil spaces, Serenity has evolved and grown stronger over past months, becoming a leading trend across commercial settings and interiors. Influenced by minimalistic choices and both Japanese and Scandinavian style, "Japandi" perfectly encapsulates this trend, combining neutral tones with clean lines. Our new Melrose range features muted tones that reflect those found in nature and a rustic, hand-crafted quality that captures the natural beauty associated with Serenity.

Often related to Serenity, the complementary Biophilic trend is also standing strong within the design community. By bringing natural materials, colours and textures with tactile qualities indoors, designers can instantly create a calming space that boosts positivity and wellbeing.

Duplet Various Colours

Shape

Combining a variety of effects, the Shape trend is key to creating visual interest within interiors and is well placed to establish the statement look that's often demanded by commercial spaces. New chevron range Duplet reflects this trend, showcasing an architectural colour palette of six neutral tones. Influenced by geometric style, designers can combine shades for playful effect. The chevron shaped small format tiles are available in both Matt and Gloss finishes, for a sophisticated, contemporary look.

Exploring the beauty of abstract shapes, our new range Geo allows designers to achieve a unique style that's perfectly in keeping with the Shape trend. Comprising two neutral tones of Ash and Tan, these glazed ceramic wall tiles feature subtle texture and gloss on the surface, adding futher interest and tactility to a space.

1901 NIN06A Richards Green

Colour

Announced in September, Dulux Colour of the Year 2022 "Bright Skies" is a fresh, calming shade that reflects individuals' need for restful environments, as well as the optimistic view of the future.

With blue tones reflecting the sky, we're seeing further shades, inspired by nature, growing in popularity. Warm greens are dominating interior schemes, with the rich tones of Richards Green in our new 1901 collection offering a luxury effect with a traditional gloss glaze. Elsewhere, there's a trend for earth tones that offer harmony and balance for a rustic, calming style.
