London Festival of Architecture's Tank unveiled

There is work by A2, AP+E, Clancy Moore, GKMP, Ryan Kennihan, Hall McKnight, Steve Larkin, TAKA, and Urban Agency on display, mixing the bright designs of workspaces and houses.

Nine Lives at the Tank is home to a variety of architectural stories, with 10 different designers unravelling their personal design projects across Ireland. From a rural farmhouse in the Galway countryside to a trendy city studio, the exhibition shows the architectural processes up to completion and occupation.

Throughout the London Festival of Architecture, Irish Design 2015 has a whole host of architectural work from Ireland to explore, as part of its New Horizon_architecture from Ireland project. The Nine Lives exhibition at the Tank outside the Design Museum will be open until Sunday 28 June.

The display inside the Tank is called Nine Lives and is led by Dublin architect Emmett Scalon. His ambitious initiative features the 130x114mm hexagon version of our Selene tiles in white, with a mixture of four different patterned finishes.

Our stunning, mottled Selene range of hexagonal tiles decorates the floor of the installation, reimagining the legendary paving effect of Northern Ireland’s famous natural landmark, The Giant’s Causeway.

Alongside the banks of the River Thames, a stunning glass box showcasing some of the most exciting names in Irish design is making quite an impact on passers-by. The Tank outside the Design Museum is part of the Irish Design 2015 exhibition at this year’s London Festival of Architecture (1-30 June), showcasing renowned and up-and-coming Irish architects.
