Securing a Gold-Plated Future in Sustainability
Our commitment to sustainability is vital to everything that we do, which is why we’re thrilled to share that we have been awarded Gold status with the Supply Chain Sustainability School.
It’s not just what we make, but how we make it
We’ve dedicated over two decades to finding better ways to operate across every aspect of our business by cutting energy consumption, diverting waste and reducing carbon emissions. Our commitment to improvement extends to local and global environmental impact, which is why we worked with the team at the Supply Chain Sustainability School to further strengthen our operation and awareness on sustainability.
Putting in the work
We collaborated with The School due to their aligned ethos of bettering the environment, working within our industry on topics such as waste and resource efficiency, sustainability strategy and environmental management.
By attending multiple events and workshops in collaboration with house developer clients, we kickstarted our journey to the esteemed Gold accreditation. Sophie Massey, Purchasing & Sustainability Manager at Johnson Tiles has been a key player to help us achieve our new status:
“It’s been great working with the team at SCSS to achieve Gold Member status. We’re consistently trying to better the ways we operate across all areas of our business and through The School we were able to hone in on our consumption of energy, supply chain sustainability and water usage. All the workshops we attended were insightful and engaging, and will no doubt reinforce our processes and knowledge going forward as EPD certificate holders.”
Thinking to the future
Our impact on the environment naturally extends to our customers and colleagues, who are more engaged with sustainability than ever before. By utilizing the fantastic resources available through SCSS, we’ve committed to targeted competency training for colleagues throughout our business. From top-line overview resources to deep-dive analysis, we’re empowering our colleagues to better their understanding on our environmental impact, with ongoing learning and action plans already in the works.
We continue to engage with the Supply Chain Sustainability School to enhance our position as industry leaders in our sustainability journey. Discover more about our commitment to greener initiatives.
