Covid-19 Business Update

Read about the latest actions we have taken in response to Covid-19.

Supporting you with UK supplies

We have been made aware that all tile factories in Italy will be closed as of today (Monday 23 March) until further notice. If you have been affected by delivery delays from another tile supplier, we would be happy to support you with any urgent orders. Our factory is strategically-located in Stoke-on-Trent, so we can respond with swift lead times to any location.

We have invested over £20 million in wall and floor tile stock to ensure continuity of supply for customers and 67% of our global product offering is made in our state-of-the-art UK facility. All raw materials used in our ceramic tile production process are locally-sourced from within the UK. We had already put precautionary measures in place pre Brexit, so we are fortunate enough to have sufficient stocks of most of our non-UK based materials to meet demand for the coming months.

We have rotas in place across our key supply chain departments (manufacturing, warehousing and logistics) to ensure we have provisions for stand-by personnel who can be drafted in, should any of our employees be directly affected by Covid-19. We are also working with the government to comply with new restrictions issued last week (w/c 16 March) with regards to drivers loading and unloading.

Standing with you

We would like to take this opportunity to thank all our customers, clients, employees and partners for their continued support and loyalty. We are all in this together. We will get through this together.

Business as usual

As communities around the world respond to the Covid-19 outbreak, we are committed to making the health and wellbeing of both our customers and employees our number one priority, in line with the government's guidelines.

Whilst we are closely monitoring the situation, operations are continuing as usual and there has been no interruption to our order manufacturing or delivery schedules. However, we are taking all necessary precautions to ensure our workers, supply chain partners and customers are adequately protected as the situation evolves.

Social distancing

In response to the government’s social distancing guidelines, we have made the decision to temporarily close our Material Lab in London until further notice. We will continue to monitor the situation and update our policy as required.

Contacting the team

Where possible, we are ensuring that all employees who can work from home have the equipment required to do so. This means most of our customer services, sales and marketing teams are now working remotely. However, we continue to be able to support you via phone, email and teleconference and are still here to support all your design needs and enquiries. Samples are still being distributed and can also be sent to your home address.

If you should need to reschedule a pre-arranged face-to-face appointment with the Johnson Tiles team, please contact us to make alternative arrangements. We are adequately geared up to meet your needs remotely, so just let us know your preferred method of 'virtual' contact.
