Clerkenwell Design Week 2015: Day Three

Origami style and the exploration of colour was prevalent through many of the designs on show at Additions. 

Clerkenwell Design Week 2015 may have come to an end, but you can check out our top spots from Day One and Day Two here. Thank you to all of those that visited Verve, we’re already looking forward to next year! 

Alternatively, Pappelina’s rugs illustrate bold geometric pattern. Designer Lina has explored weaving ribbon to create plastic rugs in a beautiful contemporary colour palette.

Whitebeam Studio exhibited stunning handcrafted studio pottery effects. Abstract patterning themes were used through bleeding and the fusion of colours.

In contrast to Details, Additions at the Crypt on the Green focused on smaller design pieces.

Kit Miles gains inspiration from historic and contemporary influences, and the geometric pieces stood out as a key highlight of the exhibition. 

Geometrics featured on wallcoverings, fabrics and rugs. Tracy Kendall Wallpaper focused on geometric patterning with a textured background.  

Structured surfaces appeared regularly on furniture. Andrew Dominic’s structured furniture provided us with great inspiration for design dimension on tile surfaces.

Detail offered a wealth of inspiration and re-affirmed the current interior trends. Marble continues to be prominent, and Maddux Creative exhibited a marble mix table using green, black and cream marbles, which encapsulates the trend beautifully.

For the final day of Clerkenwell Design Week 2015, the weather was on our side with the tiled blades of Verve glistening in the sunshine. The Design Team headed over to the Detail and Additions spaces to check out the popular trends on show. Detail at The Order of St. John reflects principles of fine craftsmanship and luxury. Additions is dedicated to small design pieces and interior accessories, located at the Crypt on the Green.
