Johnson Tiles wins Business Innovation Award at The Sentinel Business Awards 2017
After a revolutionary year in our history, marking our 115th anniversary, we are delighted to have been awarded the Business Innovation Award at The Sentinel Business Awards 2017, alongside coming runner up in the Business of the Year category.
During a glittering awards ceremony at the King’s Hall in Stoke-on-Trent, local businesses in the Staffordshire area were celebrated for their achievements across the engineering, leisure, manufacturing and technology industries.
With 11 categories and a surplus of worthy contenders, it was Johnson Tiles that came out on top in Business Innovation for our dedication to continued development, demonstrated in initiatives such as our Colour Genie tool, and across our entire approach to the design and manufacture of trend-led tiles. The runners up in the innovation category were announced as Fleet Operations and Motrak.
In an interview with the Stoke Sentinel, Stephen Dixon, Managing Director of Johnson Tiles, said: “Innovation is at the heart of everything we do. It is how a 115-year old tile manufacturer continues to reach new audiences, and demonstrate the modern potential of tiles in ways never seen before.
“New ideas are positively encouraged across the business, and it's this willingness to embrace new ideas and new ways that has led to the development of innovative concepts including our Tile Lab, which the in-house design team uses to preview everything new in the world of tile."
