Key trends from Decorex, London Design Festival

The stand showcased various patterns from geometric to floral, in warm and rich brunt tones, with the addition of texture to both the feel and appearance.

Material Lab’s own stand ‘Presents’ brought together the work of 14 trailblazing designers, to celebrate the future of luxury surface design.

Various colour palettes echoed throughout the show confirming the trends spotted elsewhere at London Design Week, from muted pastels to dark rich hues.

One stand that particularly captured the attention of our Design Team was Material Lab partner Tektura, specialists in contract wall coverings that explore colour, pattern and texture.

With a rich heritage of 38 years, Decorex’s long-standing reputation has stood the test of time, the show growing and evolving to remain both exciting and innovative.

Taking place at the start of the London Design Festival, within the grounds of Syon House – which provided the perfect backdrop to showcase ‘the future of luxury’ surface design, the exhibition provided a glimpse into the trends sure to take hold of the premium market in 2016.

Our Design Team headed to this year’s instalment of luxury design show, Decorex, held at London’s Syon Park (20-23 September), to continue with design week trend spotting. The annual event is internationally renowned for being the key place to discover the best and most coveted products from an unrivalled collection of 400 hand-selected exhibitors, practicing in the fields of fabric, wallpaper, accessories, flooring and surface design.
