Swimming Pool Tiles

There are many tiles suitable for use in swimming pools most of which will not be classed as pool tiles but will still be suitable. The primary requirement is a low water absorption rate of less than 3%. This means that all porcelain and glass tiles are therefore suitable for use as swimming pool tiles in conjunction with our guidelines for safety Below.

Johnson Tiles has a vast range of products suitable for use as swimming pool tiles in a variety of shapes and sizes. Glass and porcelain mosaics can also be used as pool tiles. Ranges with suitable pool tiles are Kerastar, Absolute, Glass Mosaic and Ceramic Mosaic tiles.

For competition and leisure pools we have a specific range of pool tiles and fittings available. The Architectural pool tiles range are pressed glazed porcelain and offer much greater accuracy of size and strength of body when compared to extruded swimming pool tiles. Available in 11 colours in the gloss finish and 5 colours in the gritted finish, there is also an extensive range of pool tiles fittings available in Ivory for the pool edge including finger grips. All pool tiles in this range are 250x125mm except where stated.

Guidelines for pool tiles on the base of the pool are as follows. Water depths from 1mm to 450mm should be slip resistant products with minimum category "B" Wet Ramp test. Water depths from 450mm to 850mm as above or our gritted pool tiles. Water depths over 850mm any porcelain, porcelain mosaic, glass mosaic or our gloss pool tiles.
