Porcelain tiles are an extremely durable ceramic tile. During the manufacturing process a porcelain tile is pressed harder and fired at a higher temperature to give it a very low water absorption rate of 0.5%. This low rate means it is suitable for more applications than a standard ceramic tile.
Porcelain tiles are frost resistant and as such can be used externally. All porcelain tiles can be used for external wall tiling (External Cladding). Dependant on the tiles surface finish and slip resistant properties some porcelain tiles can be used for external floor tiling.
